My digital design career has been punctuated by print projects over the years. I am a classically trained designer, so I always enjoy these projects. Though very different from digital, these projects highlight my skills in conceptual design, branding, and marketing.
I joined Old Navy’s marketing team and designed a number of campaigns within the Old Navy brand system. I developed visual languages for in-store events and created all assets for large-scale window displays and in-store wayfinding systems. My work was displayed in more than 1000 Old Navy stores internationally.

My favorite campaign I worked on was called “New Deals on the Block”. It was the Fall/Winter cross-over event to transition from the fall brand guidelines to holiday brand guidelines. I had more freedom to pull inspiration from both seasons which was a really fun challenge. The goal was to promote seasonal outerwear and make signage easy enough for store employees to implement in any store. This is an example of the kinds of considerations that occur for physical design and not digital.
I worked closely with a brand strategist and copywriter to come up with the strategy behind this campaign. The work I did included widow designs, in-store signage, and visual language guidelines to inform other designers who would be creating additional print and digital assets for the website, email marketing, and social platforms.
